Anderson Elementary School
CISD Police Department will be sharing their Drug Awareness program with students on October 24. Kindergarten, first and second grade will be attending at 9:50 a.m., third and fourth grade will be attending at 1:15 p.m.
Fine Arts/Reading night will be held on October 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
The Book Fair will be open from October 21-25 during school hours and during Fine Arts/Reading Night.
Students and teachers will take part in a school wide story book character parade on October 25.
Austin Elementary School
The annual pumpkin contest will begin on Monday, October 28. Students may enter a pumpkin with any design. Themes from the past have been storybook, movie, cartoon characters and more. Let your imagination soar!
Report cards will go home on Tuesday, October 29.
Prekindergarten students will have their field trip to Seven Acre Woods on Tuesday, October 29.
The third grade program will be on Thursday, October 31 at 1:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Parents are invited to come and enjoy. Don't forget to bring your cameras!
Bozman Intermediate School
P.T.O. will be handling deliveries of Candles & More Fundraiser items on October 24 from 2-6 p.m. and October 25 from 7:30-8:30 a.m.
Yearbook Staff Meeting will be afterschool on October 24 from 4-5 p.m.
Don't forget that Choir Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 4-5 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 a.m. Please ask your child in Choir which days they need to practice.
Zoning Meeting for the two new Flex Schools opening next year in Fall 2014 will be held on October 24 fom 7-8 p.m.
On Saturday, October 26 several of our Bozman Sixth Grade Choir Students will be participating in the Conroe ISD Choir Solo Competition. We wish them the best.

Conroe Ninth Grade High School
Dr. Stockton and CISD Trustee John Husbands were at Conroe Ninth grade campus to present the CISD Ambassador Award to some of our family. The awards were presented to: Zachary Johnson (student award), Jessica Jeronimo (paraprofessional award), and Amanda Young (teacher award). They are all well deserving of this recognition.
Our Freshman Success Center will be open all week Monday – Thursday from 2: 45- 4:45 to help all students with any academic needs.
Creighton Elementary School
Mother Goose will visit Kindergarten classes the morning of October 24. Students will participate in an interactive story workshop that will help prepare them for writing.
Thursday, October 24, we will host our annual Fall Family Night from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Families are invited to come learn about what students are doing to get fit in reading and writing. Each family will receive tips on how to help students at home in these two areas. We will have healthy snacks to share, fun exercise competitions, free books, and door prizes.
Report cards go home on Friday, October 25.
Pre-Kindergarten Parent Prep for Success session will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from 6-7 p.m. Parents will have the opportunity to learn what their child will be learning in the upcoming grading period and how to help support their learning at home. Each family will receive a set of uppercase alphabet flashcards, a set of lowercase alphabet flashcards, and a set of number flashcards.
Giesinger Elementary School
October 17 third grade will be presenting the play, Pirates on Thursday evening October 24 at 7 p.m.
Donuts with Divas will be held on Wednesday, October 24 from 7 a.m. until 8 a.m.
The library book fair will be held October 21 – October 25.
Grangerland Intermediate School

Moorhead Junior High School
October 21-25 is Red Ribbon Week.
On October 24 at 4:30 p.m. the Lady Panthers will play against White Oak at Caney Creek High School. On October 25 from 4-7 p.m. the Choir Social will be held in the Choir room. All Region Band auditions will be held on Saturday, October 26.
On October 28 seventh grade football will play against Brabham at Caney Creek High School. On October 29 eighth grade football will play at Brabham. On October 10 the seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams competed against Lynn Lucas. The seventh Grade A and B teams defeated Lynn Lucas. Game leaders were Madison Adkins, Misty Newman, and Betty Heredia. Outstanding players were Tina Haesche, Ashlynn Stafford and Bailey Moses and most improved is Sophie Porter. The eighth grade teams all came out on top defeating the Lady Lynx. Outstanding players were Margarita Perez, Bailey Hernandez, Amber Zarate, Irma Gonzalez, Delanie Coroiescu, and Skylar Cheatham.The eighth grade A team is now 3-0.
Congratulations to the following runners for placing in the Cross Country meet at Magnolia on October 11: Casey Murphy – seventh (third place); Wilson McIntosh – seventh (eighteenth place); Emily Carrisales – eighth (sixth place); Omar Quintana – eighth (eleventh place). Peet Junior High School

Third Grade music program, A Kids Life, will be Friday, October 25 at 9 a.m. and dress rehearsal Thursday, October 24 at 1:30 p.m. Please join us as we take a look back in time to see how kids spent their days before IPADs, IPODs, computers and more! This funny musical will surely bring you back in time!

Red Ribbon Week begins Monday, October 28. Students and staff will wear different items each day of the week to show their support for a drug free environment.
Breast Cancer Awareness month was celebrated by recognizing our fabulous receptionist, Brenda Becerra, for her fight against breast cancer. She has been cancer free for two years!
Washington Junior High School

Wilkinson Elementary School
Spring Creek Barbeque fundraiser will be Wednesday, October 23. Come out and enjoy dinner as the faculty serves rolls from 5-9 p.m.

Eyeglass collections are going on now through November 15.
The Wilkinson Storybook Contest is coming up soon. Choose your favorite storybook character and create a storybook pumpkin to enter in the contest. Pumpkins may start arriving Monday, October 28. The judging for the contest will be held Thursday, October 31, so all pumpkins need to be in the library Wednesday, October 30 by 3:30 p.m. Artificial pumpkins are preferred, but real pumpkins may be used as long as no holes are in them (they rot quickly when they are punctured).
