Niche Names Conroe ISD Best School District in Montgomery County for 3rd-Straight Year

CONROE, TX -- Conroe ISD earned the distinction of the Best School District Overall in Montgomery County for the third-straight year by Niche, a prominent education ranking and review site, which announced its 2025 rankings.

In addition to the best overall, the District was named the Most Diverse, the Best Place to Teach, and the Best School District for Athletes in the county, also for the third-straight year. CISD ranked among the top 10 in the Houston area and ranked among the top six percent both in the state and nationally.

School districts are graded on a variety of factors, with CISD earning an A+ for college prep and A grades for academics, teachers, diversity, clubs and activities, sports, and administration.

CISD has also been recognized this year by Forbes, ranking 37th among America’s Best Large Employers, 62nd among America’s Best Employers for Women, and 13th among the Best In State Employers for Texas. The District was the top-ranked school district on each of the lists.
