The City of Conroe Announces New City Administrator
CONROE, TX -- The City of Conroe is pleased to announce the appointment of Gary Scott to the position of City Administrator, effective immediately. The Conroe City Council unanimously approved his appointment during the City Council Meeting today. Mr. Scott served as Assistant City Attorney from 2001-2021 and the City Attorney from 2021-present. He has been serving as interim City Administrator since August 2022.
"With a city this size and growing, there are a lot of moving parts. With his background in law, it's a win-win for the city. He's the only one crazy enough to take the job, and he's going to be the best City Administrator in America." Mayor Jody Czajkoski

Scott started his municipal career working for the cities of Abilene and Dallas. Scott graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1992 and received his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 1996. Scott was raised in an Air Force family and graduated from Abilene High School in Abilene. He lives with his wife and children in The Woodlands.
