CONROE, TX – At its most recent board of directors meeting, the San Jacinto River Authority board approved an agreement for the reopening and operation of Lake Conroe Park, with the resulting partnership with ‘Lake Conroe Beach Park, LLC’ beginning immediately.

The grand reopening is scheduled for May 24 and will be open to the public that day at 10 a.m.

Situated on 13 acres of the western side of Lake Conroe off Texas 105, Lake Conroe Park was shut down in January of 2024 with the termination of the lease with Montgomery County. In its original form, it included numerous amenities worthy of a lakeside destination, including piers, pavilions, pits, and picnic areas. The newly renovated site will take on more of a beach theme.

“Our vision for Lake Conroe Park is to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for families, residents, and visitors,” said Lake Conroe Beach Park’s Marketing and Communications Director, Soraya Herbet. “We plan to cultivate strong community partnerships and encourage active local engagement by involving residents in planning and development processes of the park.”

Lake Conroe Beach Park is a community-focused, family-oriented park management team dedicated to enhancing local quality of life. Prioritizing safety, enjoyable experiences, community collaboration, conservation, and preserving natural beauty of the park. The team owns other businesses in Conroe, including 1097 Watersports.
