Conroe Police Department makes arrest in motor vehicle burlaries

CONROE, Texas -- On November 30th, the Conroe Police Department received numerous reports concerning burglary of motor vehicles and burglary of structures originating in the Highland Hollow and West Fork subdivisions that occurred during overnight hours. The suspect entered unlocked vehicles and garages in search for valuables left unsecured.

Conroe police officers began investigating the burglaries immediately, attempting to identify the suspect(s) involved. The suspect quickly began using the stolen credit cards and selling stolen valuables. Within hours from the initial reports, the combined efforts of patrol officers and investigators from the Criminal Investigations Division led to the identification of the suspect and the recovery of numerous stolen items from the suspect’s apartment at Autumn Wood Apartments in Conroe, TX.

Items recovered included electronics, computers, guns, jewelry, checks and credit cards. Further investigation led Officers and Investigators to the hiding location of the suspect. The suspect, identified as David Ryan Campbell, DOB: 6-22-92, was located and detained for questioning. Campbell was subsequently arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on felony charges of Burglary of a Structure, Theft of a Firearm, and misdemeanor charges of Possession of Marijuana. Additional charges are pending upon completion of the investigation.
