THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Energy Alloys, LLC, a global provider of oilfield metals, services, and solutions to oil and gas manufacturers and service companies, announced that it is relocating its corporate headquarters from 350 Glenborough Drive in Houston to approximately 37,000 rentable square feet at 3 Waterway Square, a new 232,000 square-foot Class A office building under construction in The Waterway Square District of The Woodlands Town Center. Also included in the expansion plans is an office build-out of approximately 10,800 square feet of existing space at its current Houston Service Center, located at 9450 West Wingfoot Road, Houston.

“We wanted to invest in the exceptional talent that has been a catalyst for our success,” said Dave Warren, president and CEO of Energy Alloys. “By relocating our headquarters to The Woodlands and expanding our Houston Service Center office, we are committed to the next phase of our growth strategy and to the valuable employees who make it possible.”

Approximately 80 employees will be relocating to the new headquarters office in The Woodlands during summer 2013, including the executive team and numerous departments including sales and marketing, human resources, finance, purchasing, market development, global supply chain, and Energy OCTG.

“We chose The Woodlands because we desired a place where our employees would be proud to work, with endless amenities within walking distance,” Warren said. “We welcome the opportunity to be active members in The Woodlands and Montgomery County communities and contribute to the economic growth in the area.”

Energy Alloys’ headquarters in The Woodlands and a previously announced Conroe location bring significant job growth to Montgomery County.

“Montgomery County plays a major role in Energy Alloys’ strategy to grow our capabilities and further support our customers’ global demands,” said Warren. Having recently partnered with GSO Capital Partners, LP, a division of The Blackstone Group, LP, on an equity investment, Energy Alloys had already committed to adding 60 jobs in Conroe, Texas as part of its new technology and integrated services location. The company now estimates that number to be closer to 80. The company is also investing in an office build-out at its Houston Service Center, located at 9450 West Wingfoot Road near US-290 and Blalock Road in Harris County. Approximately 25 employees will relocate to the new office space in Q4, 2012, including accounting, information services, and business process management teams. In addition to office space, the location houses the company’s flagship distribution and cutting facility with 110,000 square feet inside warehouse storage and 12 acres outside storage.

Energy Alloys was represented on The Woodlands lease transaction by Brandi McDonald and Stephanie Carr with Newmark Grubb Knight Frank. Robert S. Parsley and Norman V. Munoz with Colliers International represented The Woodlands Development Company.
