MONTGOMERY, TX -- The N.H. Davis Pioneer Complex & Museum in Montgomery is looking for volunteer docents, and individuals looking to help out the museum in differing capacities. For high schoolers and young adults looking for letters of recommendations, the museum is willing to take into account a volunteer's motivation, commitment, and consistency, after a certain amount of service hours. We have docents who are willing to work with volunteers to learn some Montgomery history with the artifacts in the museum, to get some practical experience in dealing with museum goers. It’s a great way for individuals to familiarize themselves with some hands-on work experience. But if you are an adult who wants to volunteer and learn about Montgomery History, then you are more than welcome to join the team as well, and meet new people and make new friends. Please send a message to: ruben@montgomerycountynews.net and you will be contacted shortly after for directions and opportunities.
