New hours at Central Library in Conroe

Conroe, TX — The Montgomery County Memorial System Central Library in Conroe will have new public hours beginning October 21, 2024. The hours affect closing times Monday through Thursday and Saturday hours.

Public hours to change beginning October 21

The new hours will be:

  • Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Friday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Saturday, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

The Central Library is located at 104 I-45 North in Conroe. The change to library hours only affects the Central branch, one of the System’s seven locations across Montgomery County.

Patrons who need library services after 6 p.m. during the week, and after 2 p.m. on Saturday, may utilize the nearby R.F. Meador and South Regional libraries. The South Regional Library, located at 2102 Lake Robbins Drive in The Woodlands, stays open until 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday. The Meador Branch, located at 709 W. Montgomery Street in Willis remains open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. Both libraries are open on Saturday until 5 p.m.

The MCMLS celebrates literacy all year long through fun, educational programs for children, teens, and adults, and by the more than 2.5 million items circulated. The MCMLS was founded and began serving local readers in 1948. Since then, it has grown to serve nearly 400,000 Library patrons and cardholders in seven branches County wide.
