Oscar Meyer Wienermobile at Kroger stores in north Montgomery County May 17 and 18

CONROE, Texas -- Abe “The Ham,” who drives the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile around the country, is in Conroe this weekend at area Kroger stores. The ‘Hotdogger’ team visits many cities on their tour, and this week they’re back in the Greater Houston area! Lucky dogs! Have you ever ‘sausage’ a thing? If you haven’t, then you have a chance to do so this week at one of the local Krogers.

They have some fun events planned, and of course, they’ll be handing out the famous Oscar Mayer Wiener Whistles, and giving tours of the iconic Wienermobile. The community is invited to come out to take a look inside the 27-foot long hot dog.

“My partner, Sal-Emy and I, are two of twelve ‘Hotdoggers’ currently traveling the hot dog highways of America spreading miles of smiles along the way,” said Abe ‘The Ham.’ “The 12 twelve of us were selected from over 1,200 applicants for this great one-year opportunity with Oscar Mayer, to drive the fleet of six Wienermobile vehicles.”

In fact, more people who have been to the moon than have been ‘Hotdoggers.’ Every year Oscar Mayer recruits at campuses across the U.S., looking for soon-to-be college graduates who have a thirst for adventure and can truly cut the mustard.

- Conroe Kroger, Friday, May 17, 2-5pm, at the Kroger located at 3830 W. Davis, west of I-45N.

- Conroe Kroger, Saturday, May 18, 10am-1pm, at the Kroger located at 2222 I-45N at Loop 336.

- Willis Kroger, Saturday 2-5 pm, at the Kroger located at 12605 I-45N in Willis, Texas
