Montgomery County Sheriff's Officer dispatched to home invasion

Armed Magnolia homeowner thwarts home invasion.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas -- The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched January 25, at approximately 9:30 p.m., to a residence on 18700 block of Mink Lake Drive in Magnolia, in reference to a home burglary where three males forced entry into a residence.

A 33-year-old female and her 6-year-old child were inside the home alone. The homeowner fired a pistol at one of the suspects and may have struck him. The three suspects fled the scene.

MCSO Major Crimes Unit Detectives and Crime Scene Units are currently investigating.
