Five prosecuted for burglary of Shooter's Gun Storeby Montgomery County Sheriff's OfficeNov 28, 2012
THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- In the early morning hours of December 14, 2009, Shooter’s Station, a gun store, located on SH 105 just west of Conroe was burglarized and 81 firearms were stolen. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office along with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) began an investigation which led them to the Bryan/College Station, Texas area. Assisted by the Bryan Police Department, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and the Texas Department of Public Safety CID, investigators recovered approximately 27 of the stolen guns. The investigation led to the arrest and successful prosecution in Federal Court of 5 people, all from the Bryan / College Station, Texas area. Ronald Gibbs B/M 46 years of age. Sentenced to 120 months, 36 months’ probation and $5000 restitution Anray Atkins B/M 37 years of age. Sentenced to 36 months, 36 months’ probation Sherman Darnell B/M 36 years of age. Sentenced to 32 months, 36 months’ probation Arthur Garner B/M 36 years of age. Sentenced to 53 months, 36 months’ probation Montrace Pier B/M 23 years of age.
